Yesterday morning I went to no fewer than five stores in an attempt to buy a cherry pitter.
“A what?”
“Oh yeah, we did have one. It was great, it really works, it’s amazing. We don’t have any more though.”
*Blank stares*
And finally
No fewer than five different kinds of avocado slicers (in one store), but no cherry pitters.
Yesterday afternoon I pitted 2 lbs of fresh cherries with straws. For the first five it was quite amazing, astounding, astonishing that it worked. So easy.
Then it got a little bit tedious. I finally lost the will to breathe some hour and a half later.
I don’t feel much like eating cherry pie today.
